I also reinforced the tailgate. 1/2" conduit in the top tube and 3/4" M in the bottom. :chicken

I got this half of a truck for 150$ from the junkyard. Someone had turned it into a trailer. Originally it was red with blue sprayed over which a lot had flaked off. I painted it to match my camo van. I am almost done replacing the bed. I did unistrut for the horizontal pieces using deep strut in th...

Did you ever figure out that your melting pot does have a short to ground like mississippiguy said? A melting pot would be right behind incandescent lightbulb for a non fluctuating load. It's a short. Measure the resistance between the hot prong and the ground prong, or just lick your finger and tou...

We use wolverine brass deluxe basket strainers. They are nice because both nuts are normal size and you can pack putty between the strainer and the outer cup if you feel it necessary. I had to use my wire wheel and some brake cleaner the other day clean off a ton of silicone a caretaker put on all s...

I prefer to work with standard oatey hercules sta put because it doesn't stick to my hands like crazy but I have resolved myself to use the stay put ultra that is "non-staining". I put some of the regular stuff down on a less than polished stone counter and had a freak attack trying to rem...

Damn man, that sucks. I'd want a new van or engine for sure at this point. At least you can kind of be nice and say the other one you have is great. Why do you guys get diesels? We have 30+ gas vans/trucks and I have never heard of us having these issues. Don't tell me you need the power, we have ha...
