New here nice site! :chicken

About frickin' time you showed up.

I'm glad you're here, but I disagree mightily with you accusing The Late Ms. Thatcher of invading Argentina.

It's a windswept speck of an island out in the middle of nowhere. The livestock outnumber the permanent residents. I've been there, btw. Let the Brits have it.

At least the Brits are willing to spend money to resupply the inhabitants. Argentina doesn't do shit for them unless it's an election year.

Lest I forget my manners.... Welcome.

Ya I knew my comment would get that kind of response somewhere lol thanks

Hey mate, how you like the new digs?
You need to go to your user control panel and request the areas that you want admission to. One of us mods can do it once the request is in.
All good its 3 in the morning here. F1 race in china just finished and super busy with the books. I will catch up and get more into this after apr. 26th. Thanks for the invitation catch you in a couple weeks.

Welcome aboard. Sometimes it takes awhile to find the right plumbing community online. I have tried a few and by far this is the best one I have found.

Do well. I've read your posts. I suspect you will.

Congratulations in advance as well.

Home now the pizza from the local pizzaria is still the best pizza hands down. Hard test combined with oddly worded questions make it harder and more confusing than it really is. If they had asked an honest question I would have given an honest answer. Since it was muliple choice there honest answers would have to be submitted to a lawyer first who would then deem them to be correct! The course was fun but government officials dont like fun they prefer a leviathan like bureaucracy of incompetance and confusion. Makes them sleep at night I guess. Anyway win or lose I will never surrender!

My buddy finally retired last night he is 66 so we had a party for him at the pub. Finished the test, raced to the airport barely made the flight, set the metal detector off 5 times, Iam sure I pissed off all the airport personel and waiting passengers, raced across the tarmac and got on the plane. There was no way I was missing this party! Barely made the connecting flight in Vancouver to the island, dropped my stuff off at home and raced to the pub. Everybody was there the whole crew, I showed up to a cheering crowd of friends, I felt like a rock star in that moment and it reminded me why I missed them so much over the last two months. Bought my buddy a beer and eased back into my normal life surrounded by my peers. It was great to be missed and also great to be back home.

I don't think it matters a lot about age quality on the other hand does. I have seen guys that are young eager and right on top of things work hard and take pride in there work. I have also seen young guys who don't are lazy and just don't care. Same with older guys some care and some either never did care or gave up caring a long time ago. These guys usually float from company to company until they have worked for everyone in town or move on to the next town or hopefully just retire. On the other hand there are a lot of guys who get better with age keep on learning and there lifestyles are more stable then when they were young and they don't go on three week benders like they use too either.

Plumbing in general encompasses a wide range of knowledge and many of my friends have way more knowledge in certain areas than I do. A lot of us specialize in one area of expertise and then we run with it. Some of us are service plumbers, new construction plumbers, we also specialize in deep well applications, septic tank systems, heating and hydronic applications. The list is long but that is only a few example of the diversity of our trade. The point being I would be the last guy you would want to send to a deep well installation or service call. My knowledge at best is murky I remember only a few pages in trades school where I read about it. My buddy on the other hand has a vast knowledge of deep well pumps, systems, buffer tanks, pressure switch troubleshooting etc. I think perhaps the best question you can ask to an interviewee is why did they choose this particular area of the trade in the first place.
